Royal Brunei Airlines expands its flight network to East-Central China

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has expanded its flight route network to the city of Zhengzhou, Henan Province, east-central China, a 4 hours 45 minutes flight from the RB hub in Bandar Seri Begawan.

Zhengzhou, one of the 13 emerging megacities in China, is situated on the Yellow river and the city is notable as the centre for business, shopping and fashionable entertainment in Henan province. The city has a population of more than 9 million and is known to be one of the 8 great ancient capitals of China. The city houses the famous Shaolin temple, the cradle of Chinese martial arts and where visitors are able to witness the beautiful cultural and historic aspects of the Shang Dynasty. It is hoped that with this new route RB will be able to significantly further promote Brunei as a tourist and business destination for the fast growing China market.

“Today marks a significant milestone for RB as we expand our flight route network to another part of China. RB has seen a growth in interest from China for travel to our home Bandar Seri Begawan and to the other destinations that RB serves, such as Bali and Kota Kinabalu.” said Captain Khalidkhan Hj Asmakhan, Deputy Chief Operating Officer in his capacity as Acting CEO of RB.
