Melbourne, Victoria – the Australian Government has announced that Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has been selected to provide Air Travel Services to its employees, Departments and related organisations.
Royal Brunei will join the panel of approved airlines which includes major carriers operating to Australia, and as a result, Australian government employees can now travel on Royal Brunei 787 Dreamliner services from Melbourne to Brunei and on to the airline’s larger network.
The Air Travel Services contract will commence in May 2016 and runs for an initial 5 year period. RB prepared a detailed submission in response to a request for tender and conducted intense negotiations to win its place as an approved airline.
Brett McDougall, RB’s Country Manager in Australia, said “being a part of the Australian Government airline panel is a great endorsement of our airlines’ customer service, friendly staff and competitive fares.”
Christina Chua, RB’s Head of Sales welcomed the new corporate account saying “Our success has been achieved through the close collaboration of many staff across the airline in mounting our bid for this business and is a credit to all involved”.
